Origin

GUBI sells GamFratesi's monolithic tables as the Epic collection. The company says the name refers to the epic poems of ancient times, and the tables are described as sculptural pieces inspired by Greek columns and Roman architecture. Design years differ by edition: 2019 for the round dining and coffee tables, 2020 for the elliptical dining table and 2024 for the outdoor dining table.

Design Language

GUBI says the Epic Table is the result of a shared journey of discovery into travertine stone and steel, with an in-depth study of colours and finishes followed by lengthy experimentation with proportions, weight and form until base, geometry and tabletop were in balance. The monolithic form stays the same across materials.
