Collection Story
Origin
Designed by Lievore Altherr in 2017, Cila takes its concept from layers of cloth enveloping the body. Arper describes the shell's curve as a form of protection and shelter.
Family
The collection includes a chair and a small armchair. Polypropylene shells can be combined with wooden legs, a steel sled base or trestle bases with or without castors. Upholstered options extend from a seat cushion to full upholstery.
Recognition
Cila received the iF Gold Award in Germany in 2019.
