名前の由来
コンセプトの解説文では、この名前は1950年代から60年代のデザインへのオマージュであるとし、アメリカのデザイナー、建築家、映画監督であるCharles Eamesに言及しています。Eamesは「The details are not the details. They make the design（細部は細部ではない。それがデザインをつくる）」と考えていました。解説によれば、Charlesにおいてその信念は、逆さまのL字型の脚と、細身で持ち上げられたベースに表れており、いずれもソファに軽やかさという印象を与えています。
