Origin
Blisscape is a Poltrona Frau seating system credited to Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba. The name fuses "bliss" and "escape", which the page glosses as "a blissful getaway". The product sheet adds that the welcoming seat was inspired by the feelings of well-being and togetherness in Lou Reed's song "Perfect Day".
Design Language
The sofa and the pouf are defined by a sculptural leather structure that serves as the base for soft cushioning; the generous padding rests on a leather base that appears to float a few inches above the floor. The system is modular and customizable, and the sheet offers two depths, standard and Deep, that differ by 10 cm.
