Blisscape Sofa

Overview

Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba designed the Blisscape sofa, which the page calls modular and customisable, with various modules allowing a wide range of configurations. The product sheet draws it with low or high armrests.

Construction

The page lists a metal frame supporting a structure in solid beech and poplar and birch plywood, slightly padded and covered in Pelle Frau® leather, with a leather platform under cushions whose covers are removable. The sheet gives the frame as black-painted tubular metal with solid tulipwood for the upholstered parts, and cylindrical feet in black anodised aluminium.

Cushions that move

The page says each backrest cushion has an adjustable reclining system based on a bayonet mechanism, and that the zoned padding uses technology similar to that of mattresses, promoting breathability, softness and shape retention.

The low armrest

The 2-seater drawn above has the low armrest. Its cushion is filled with polyester padding around a stabilising polyurethane foam insert and is fastened to the armrest structure with snap buttons, according to the product sheet.
