Collection Story

Origin

Tom Dixon's Beat lights are hand-spun, welded and hand-beaten by artisans in Northern India in a process that takes four days; the Beat Fat sheet gives 2005 as the year of design.

Inspiration

Traditional Indian water vessels and brass cooking pots; the hammer marks are kept, so each piece is unique.

Range

Twelve products on the collection page: pendants, wall, table and floor lights.

Light source

The collection features integrated, custom-engineered LED modules with aluminium heat sinks and optical diffusers.
