Description
Overview
The Beat Fat Pendant is, in Tom Dixon's words, a handcrafted brass pendant light with a warm, golden interior, made by artisans in Northern India. Its year of design is 2005 according to the product sheet. The matt black version described here has a refined exterior finish that, according to the page, contrasts with the rich, hand-beaten interior. Beat is also the name of the collection.
Construction
The sheet lists a brass shade in black and brass, matte, with the finishing process hand beaten, painted and lacquered, and a steel fitting in matte black. The cable is 250 cm of black fabric (H03VV-F 2 x 0.75 mm²) and the surface mount is a cone of 12.4 cm. The page says the light has been re-engineered with a custom integrated LED module.
