Collection Story
Origin
Aurora is a group of beds designed by Tito Agnoli for Poltrona Frau. It holds two designs, Aurora Due and Aurora Tre, and each of them is also made as a bed with a storage unit. The Aurora Tre headboard is a faithful interpretation of a design that Tito Agnoli drew in 2005, one that expressed ahead of its time the aesthetic of softness.
Design Language
Both designs have a padded headboard. In Aurora Due the headboard is large and punctuated at regular intervals to form a capitonné effect, while Aurora Tre recalls the lightness of quilting on a double-bed headrest, with an enveloping shape created by the curvature of birch plywood. Behind the headboard, both designs offer a choice between Poltrona Frau Jacquard fabric and leather, and the Queen and King versions are always finished in leather there. The covers are not removable.
The plain Aurora Due and the plain Aurora Tre beds each come in five sizes: 160 x 200, 170 x 200 and 180 x 200 cm, plus Queen 153 x 203 cm and King 193 x 203 cm.
