Collection Story

Origin

Albert & Ile is a family of seats and a coffee table drawn from the Minotti Archive, credited on the manufacturer's page to "Gigi Radice design / Minotti Historic Archive". Minotti calls the designs vintage in flavour and a tribute to its founder Alberto, who died in 1991, and to his wife Ileana, today Honorary President. They were edited for the company's 70th anniversary.

Design Language

The family shares one slender, retro-styled leg; the shapes differ. Albert looks to the 1900s and the Fifties, Ile to the Sixties with a hollow-shaped back. A mohair wool velvet in colours from Mink to Cobalt and from Blue Ocean to Titanium is named as the upholstery that suits both.
