Description
Overview
The Albert sofas in Minotti's Albert & Ile range keep the armrests inspired by the 1900s, with lines recast through the aesthetics of the Fifties. A decorative band runs along the full front and traces each armrest; it is solid wood, covered first and then nailed to the main structure.

Construction
A solid wood frame; the seat uses heavy-duty steel coil springs and rubber-rich elastic webbing under high-density polyurethane foam. Back and arms use the webbing plus variable-density resilient foam, and a breathable heat-bonded fibre wraps everything. Upholstery is fixed in fabric and leather. The legs are conical moulded cast metal in polished Pewter, with tips in polished Gold or polished Pewter.
Specifications
- Albert angled sofa: W 238 x D 101 x H 92 cm (technical sheet; height not labelled on the drawing)
- Lounge sofa 168.5 x 80 cm
Story
A front band that draws the arm
The page's N.B. explains that the decorative element along the front of the sofa and the armchair, and around the armrests, is contoured solid wood that is upholstered and then fixed to the structure.
