Collection Story

Origin

GUBI gathers Jacques Adnet's leather-framed pieces as its Adnet collection and dates them to 1950 on the mirror and coffee table pages. GUBI's coffee table page says that in 1950 Adnet formed a partnership with the French fashion house Hermès, where he developed leather-covered furniture and interior accessories.

Design Language

GUBI describes discreet yet voluptuous leather-covered pieces and says Adnet was one of the first designers to combine leather with glass. The circular mirror page speaks of equestrian-inspired detailing.
