Description
Overview
Zoe is a bookcase by Hannes Peer for Minotti with a clear 1970s influence expressed in a contemporary language. It is composed of various geometric shapes, replicated and placed side by side, so that it works as a versatile and multifunctional modular system with an alternation of empty and full spaces.
Construction
The shelves are 30 mm thick MDF in ash veneer, walnut veneer or glossy lacquer, with a solid wood border on the veneered versions. The sides are 30 mm modular drawn aluminium with upper and lower closure caps in the same finish, and each side piece contains a metal bar counterweight. Adjustable ABS feet with black felt glides protect the floor, and each module comes with a kit to combine and align modules of the same height.
Specifications
- Depth: 46 cm
- Shelves: MDF, 30 mm thick, four veneer or lacquer top finishes
- Sides: drawn aluminium, 30 mm thick, glossy lacquer or Brown varnish with deep satin finish
- Feet: adjustable, ABS, with black felt glides
Story
A refined interlocking design
Hannes Peer designed Zoe as a bookcase with a clear 1970s influence in a contemporary language. Various geometric shapes are replicated and set side by side in a harmonious interplay of structures, which turns the bookcase into a modular system with a strong decorative identity.
The contoured vertical support
The contoured element appears in the bookcase as a vertical support in glossy varnished aluminium, or in a Brown lacquered version with a deep satin finish, positioned alongside the shelves. The shelves come in the same finishes as the side panels, and the interlocking design blends different materials into a unique alternation of empty and full spaces.
