Zante Outdoor Sofa

Overview

Zante is a sectional seating system that Flexform says was specifically designed for outdoor settings, credited to the Flexform Design Center in 2019. It comes with two seat depths, which give it compositional flexibility.

Construction

The structure is solid iroko wood, offered in four finishes. The base is epoxy powder-coated stainless steel 316 and rests on pads of thermoplastic material. Generously padded seat and backrest cushions are padded with polyurethane foam and sit in a breathable water-repellent lining, and the upholstery is removable fabric.

Wood as the starting point

Flexform writes that the beauty and innate strengths of wood, highly resistant to weather conditions, inspired the concept for a collection of outdoor seating pieces. In the finest Flexform tradition they combine understated elegance and great comfort.

Elements that come apart

Flexform notes that the sofa is known for the ease with which its elements can be disassembled and then stacked for safe storage at the end of the season. Flexform adds that the pieces are meant to decorate decks and patios in a manner in keeping with the style of the indoor rooms.
