Description

Overview

Victoria is David/Nicolas's modular sofa for Tacchini. An elegant system, its modules can be combined and reconfigured at will to suit the room. Its look is regal, and comfort is total.

Construction

Each module has a wooden frame under memory foam and multi-density polyurethane foam. The exterior is steel, color-coated or polished, and the modules are covered in fabric or leather. A tubular supporting base lifts the modules visually off the floor and rises into the backrests as a crown-like shape behind.

Specifications

The steel structure has three finishes and the upholstery spans 27 fabrics and 4 leathers. Low tables carry over the base and upholstery and gain a Smoked Plissé Mirror top.

Story

A simple structure for something soft

David/Nicolas, a Lebanese designer duo, say of Victoria: "We wanted a simple structure, able to embrace something soft". The result is a base in tubing that carries soft modules, repeated in forms that change simply by changing the angle of the cushion.

A crown at the back

Because the tubing base runs on into the backrest modules, it forms a crown at the back, while the modules seem to hover above the ground. Low tables repeat the base and upholstery and add an elegant mirrored top.
