The Valmy Carver chair is a Ligne Roset design by Ramy Fischler, offered with 8 covering materials and 3 base finishes.

Construction

The structure is steel wire clad in injected foam on a base of bent solid beech, finished in a natural varnish or anthracite-stained, or in black lacquered metal. The seat structure is plywood panels. Injected polyurethane foam (35 kg/m3, 3.2 kPa) forms the back and armrests, with polyester quilting on the outside, and the seat is Bultex foam. The interior of the back cover is quilted over polyether foam, with the motif made by an automated sewing robot.

A shell of foam on a steel wire frame

The structure of the carver chair is steel wire clad in injected foam. Its back and armrests are injected polyurethane foam, covered on the outside with 110 g/m² polyester quilting. Under it, the seat is built from Bultex foams of 42 kg/m3 and 38 kg/m3 on plywood.

Quilted back, three bases

The motif on the interior of the back cover is quilted by an automated sewing robot over polyether foam of 21 kg/m3. A 5 mm baguette stitch detail is on the seat; covers can be taken off by a professional. The base is bent solid beech, in natural varnish or anthracite-stained, or black lacquered metal.
