Description
Overview
Tyde 2 Workstations is a height-adjustable table system designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in 2021. Single tables, double clusters and meeting tables can form layouts ranging from individual desks to large benches, with height-adjustable single desks optionally mounted on castors.

Construction
The configured version combines a melamine table top, a powder-coated base and a cable tray made from polyester fleece. A bracket system accepts freely positioned accessories including lamp holders, monitor arms and screens, while cable channels and electrification components organise wiring.
Specifications
The representative sit-stand table has a 1400 × 700 mm top. Its vertical travel runs between 650 and 1250 mm, with the upper position stored as the overall height.
Story
A workstation that changes scale
Vitra developed Tyde 2 as a system that can move between concentrated individual work, paired clusters, team platforms and meetings. The same family supports fixed-height and sit-stand arrangements, allowing the table layout to change without abandoning a consistent visual vocabulary.
Bouroullec details
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec gave Tyde 2 clean lines and rounded contours. Its technical functions are organised around cable management and a bracket system, while the polyester-fleece cable tray is described by Vitra as helping to reduce noise.
