Pillars made gentle
John Astbury set out to give a side table a sense of monolithic strength. The three legs allude to the architectural presence of ancient pillars, but they are curved and glossy, so that large, heavy elements read as lighter and more gentle.

The press release describes soft yet oversized proportions in a table scaled down for small spaces, and &Tradition's founder calls the form both strong and soft. The release names the two bold tones, Steel Blue and Burgundy Red.
