Construction
The datasheet describes a metal structure in which a central upright is fixed to a base and also carries the frame of the worktop. Vertical and horizontal sliding devices let the worktop's height and position be adjusted. The base stands on concealed castors that rotate through 360 degrees.
Specifications
- PMO1 mobile station: 86.2 cm wide, 52.4 cm deep, 104 cm high at its maximum; the drawing prints 74/104 for the height and shows 74 cm in three of the configurations and 104 cm in the fourth
Story
A workstation made for individual workers
The datasheet says the unit follows the person around the home, adapting to changes in layout and to different ways of working: seated on an armchair, office chair or stool, or standing. It acts as a service module, with a place for a bag and other personal items, space to work on a laptop, and a way to charge devices. The sheet says the project started from individual workers whose way of living changes from one day to the next and within a single day, with the activity at hand.
From the office to the home
On the page, Touch Down is described as turning the act of working into a refined, organised experience. The integrated technology is a rechargeable battery and USB sockets that let devices power up discreetly, which the page links to a clean, minimal look.
