Description

Overview

Tindari is a 2015 coffee and side table by Antonio Citterio. Flexform makes hand-woven hide cord the defining surface of a circular-section metal frame.

Construction

The tubular frame receives one of six metal treatments and is wrapped in nine stated hide colors. Its top can be Canaletto walnut, ash, oak or one of the specified marbles. Both documented codes retain this construction.

Specifications

Representative code 022370 measures 60 × 42 × 36 cm. The sheet also documents a larger rectangular model.

Story

Weaving applied to an occasional table

Flexform presents Tindari as an example of artisan weaving used at furniture scale. Lengths of hide are worked around the metal structure by hand, setting a tactile covering against the precision of the tube beneath it.

Two top programs

The top can continue the craft-led character in solid timber or provide a distinct marble surface. The two documented sizes retain the woven perimeter while shifting from a compact rectangle to a substantially longer format.
