Two cones forming an hourglass
Zanotta's page says two polyurethane cones, their ends connected by a steel bar, give Tempo a small hourglass-shaped table with a polished surface.
Time settling into clean shapes
Under the heading From design to product, Zanotta writes that the designer's time settles into clean shapes, through signs with the intrinsic force to survive beyond the life of the artist, as classics are destined to do.
