Description

Overview

System 1500/C006 is a preconfigured, boat-shaped table system designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger in 2021. Modules combine into linear tables as well as U-shaped and V-shaped arrangements.

Construction

Traverses beneath the top let the top appear to float over tapering legs, and long tables need only a few pairs of legs. Cables run up through the legs into media boxes set into the table.

Specifications

  • Weight (System 1500/C006): 168 kg
  • Modules: starting, middle, angle, head and end modules
  • Legs: aluminium in four surface finishes, or solid oak

Story

A system of modules

In Mezger's 1500 table system, a large selection of individual modules can be combined to create linear tables as well as U-shaped and V-shaped systems in various radii.

Traverses under the top

Thonet characterises the system by its modular traverses. They carry the tabletop so that it seems to float over the legs, and they allow long tables to stand on only a few pairs of legs.
