Story
Organic forms
Molteni&C introduces Surf as a sofa that explores the nature of organic forms beyond the traditional, a seating solution rich in unexpected details. The datasheet explains that the Canadian studio Yabu Pushelberg, working in architecture, design and graphics since 1980, designed Surf as a modular sofa system for Molteni&C, after making their debut with Dada in 2006 with the Lisola design.
Seat and backrest
The seats are all-one with the base, and rounded forms support snug, slightly protruding backrests. The datasheet presents these as the features that make Surf ergonomically perfect and visually appealing. The page adds a wide array of upholstery options from the Molteni&C collection, and records that Surf won the Wallpaper* Design Award in 2020.
