Slice Bench

Overview

Slice Bench is a bench by Hans Hornemann for Normann Copenhagen, part of the Slice series that began with oak tables. This version has a linoleum top. The manufacturer says attention has gone to the details and proportions of the series, giving it a solid expression and a visual lightness.

Construction

The top is linoleum on particleboard with oak veneer edges, set on oak legs. The bench comes flat packed, with an assembly manual included.

Added to a series of oak tables

Normann Copenhagen describes Slice as a collection of oak tables designed by Hans Hornemann, joined later by a bench, a bar table, a coffee table and a round table in two sizes. The press release says the bench lets the pure, harmonic design of the series be completed in a Nordic-style dining environment.

Linoleum with oak edges
