Description

Overview

Patricia Urquiola designed the Silver Lake sofa in 2010. The family includes a compact settee and sofas in three nominal lengths, with configurator code SLA078 identifying the settee with upholstered sides.

Construction

A wood structure carries differentiated-density polyurethane foam and polyester fibre. Powder-coated steel forms the arms and feet, while optional sofa armrest cushions use polyester fibre. Covers are fixed.

Versions

  • SLA: padded and upholstered sides
  • SLB: oak side panels
  • Steel colours: Mud, Oxido Red, Sand or Anthracite

Story

Two treatments for the side plane

Silver Lake places its arms and feet within one continuous steel outline. That frame can meet either padded upholstery or an oak side panel, creating two materially distinct versions within the same sofa family.

A family of lengths

The range moves from a settee to nominal 200, 230 and 260 sofa sizes. Each keeps the same wood core, layered cushioning and fixed cover construction introduced by Patricia Urquiola in 2010.
