Description

Overview

The 2010 Silver Lake armchair by Patricia Urquiola is represented by configurator code SLA096, the low armchair with padded and upholstered sides. A corresponding SLB096 version replaces those sides with wood panels.

Construction

The internal timber structure is cushioned with several polyurethane densities and polyester fibre. Steel arms and feet receive a powder-coated finish, and the upholstery cannot be removed.

Options

Steel components are offered in Mud, Oxido Red, Sand and Anthracite. Wood-sided versions use Natural or Caffè oak.

Story

Low, small and high forms

Silver Lake extends one construction idea across three armchair proportions: small, low and high. Code 096 identifies the low form, while 061 and 091 designate the small and high alternatives.

Framed sides

Patricia Urquiola uses the steel arm as a strong perimeter element. Within it, the side can remain softly upholstered or become an oak plane, giving the same 2010 armchair family two contrasting surface treatments.
