Description
Overview
The 2013 Shortwave chair is part of Diesel Living with Moroso. Its compact silhouette combines a rounded seat with a back that extends into wing-like supports for the arms without forming a conventional armchair. It carries code DL2H55.
Construction
The structure is varnished ash. The birch panels for the seat and back receive stress-resistant polyurethane padding in several densities. The upholstery cover is fixed rather than removable, while the standard padding meets BS 5852 crib 5.
Specifications
- Code: DL2H55
- Structure: varnished ash
- Seat and back: birch
- Padding: varied-density polyurethane foam
- Weight: 10 kg
Story
A side chair with wing arms
Shortwave uses a small footprint while extending the back into two curved wings. These supports create a place for the arms without changing the chair into a fully enclosed armchair.
Ash, birch and fixed upholstery
A varnished ash structure carries birch seat and back panels beneath differentiated-density foam. The fixed cover follows the chair's compact profile, and two stated colours pair with the wooden frame.
