Overview
Shelter Table Lamp EU Black is a simple, characterful table lamp by the Danish design duo HolmbäckNordentoft for Normann Copenhagen. It weighs 3.3 kg.
Construction
The lamp is made of steel. The shade rests on a three-armed steel construction on the base, and the cable comes out smoothly through a shape detail of the base. The inside of the shade is white, and a switch sits on the textile cord, which is 2 m long in the matching colour. The lamp is not dimmable.

Story
A friendly lamp full of character
Shelter is a plain table lamp with a lot of character, and it gives a cozy light to the space around it. A conical base and a rounded shade give it a soft, friendly feel that stands out against the clean, sharp lines of the lamp. HolmbäckNordentoft designed it in 2013.
From cord to brass detail
The idea came from asking how a visual connection could be created between the cord and the lamp. That question led to the curved opening at the bottom of the lamp and to the brass detail, which became a main feature of the overall feel of Shelter.
