An invitation to stay awhile

GUBI presents the chair as a contemporary take on the midcentury Scandinavian design tradition, with a soft, rounded backrest that envelops a solid, welcoming seat. The page says the name suggests an invitation to stay awhile.

Two forms in dialogue

The page describes the intimate dialogue between the backrest and the seat as the source of a small, elegant chair with a restrained and calm aesthetic, and the pairing of contrasting forms, weights and materials as giving an almost anthropomorphic form.
