Story

An ottoman for the Sanluca armchair

On Poltrona Frau's page the pouf is the piece offered to go with the Sanluca armchair. The page dates the pouf to 1991 and gives it to Achille Castiglioni alone, while the armchair it accompanies is dated 1961 on the product sheet.

The Castiglioni brothers

The page presents Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni as graduates in architecture of the Polytechnic University of Milan whose interests spanned town planning, architecture and design. They were among the founders of the ADI, the Association of Industrial Design, in 1956, and are known internationally for lighting, furnishing and exhibition installations.
