Description
Overview
Zanotta's page lists the Sacco as "Design Gatti, Paolini, Teodoro, 1968" and describes anatomical easy chairs: an envelope containing highly resistant expanded polystyrene pellets. The Sacco easy chair is available in three sizes, Sacco Small (278), Sacco Medium (279) and Sacco (280), and the data sheet marks it IN/OUT. The page says the idea of its designers was to realise a "universal" seat that would easily adapt to any body, in any position.
Construction
The cover is available in Tux fabric, in Vip, which the page says is also for outdoor use, antibacterial and stainproof with Permablock 3® treatment, and in leather. The page says Sacco has no defined shape.

Story
A sack of polystyrene balls
Zanotta's text describes the "desecrating gesture" of filling a sack (sacco) with polystyrene balls to make the most informal, versatile, irreverent, freeing, soft and ergonomic chair, which for that reason has no defined shape. It adds that the concept is ready to be adapted into versions for children and teenagers, because encouraging smiles and fun while sitting in an armchair is not a luxury reserved for adults.
Compasso d'Oro for lifetime achievement
The page says Sacco was awarded the Compasso d'Oro ADI for its lifetime achievement, with the award ceremony held on 9 September in Milan at the new ADI Design Museum together with the inauguration of the exhibition of the 2020 edition's selected projects.
