Overview

Romeo Compact stand-alone sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2019. A reduced seat depth compared with the Romeo seating system, a higher backrest, goose-down cushions and grosgrain piping on cast aluminium feet.

Construction

Metal structure topped with polyurethane foam and laminated fabric; goose-down seat cushions over a variable-density crushproof layer; metal backrest and armrests padded with foam and down; cast aluminium feet on thermoplastic pads. Covers are removable.

A scaled-down Romeo

Flexform says the seat depth is pared down compared with the Romeo seating system, yet the sofa keeps the delicate lines, generous padding and couture tailoring of its namesake. The higher backrest still gives comfortable support even though the cushion with bolster that comes with the Romeo sofa is left out.

Small spaces

Thanks to its scaled-down proportions, the page says, the sofa fits with ease in residential settings with space restrictions and in hospitality venues such as lounges and waiting rooms.
