Description

Overview

Ring is a family of five tables conceived by nendo for Minotti that play with contrasts between straight lines and curves. The light metal structure is defined by orthogonal lines and interrupted by large rings placed in different positions.

Construction

The base is made of brass rods, 16 mm in diameter, welded to each other, with adjustable brass feet in the same finish as the base and protective ABS glides. The top is tempered bronzed glass, 10 mm, contoured Calacatta marble, 18 mm, or beveled MDF, 18 mm, in ash veneer under an open-pore lacquer.

Specifications

  • Overall size: 90 x 90 x 28.5 cm (round top, Ø 90)

Story

Straight lines and curves

Nendo, faithful to a design philosophy that often challenges the rules of geometry, conceived Ring as a family of five tables playing with contrasts between straight lines and curves. Large rings interrupt the orthogonal lines of the light metal structure and break the geometric regularity of the silhouette.

Rings that connect or support

Depending on the size of the table, the circles become connecting or supporting elements. The eye is drawn to the emptiness at the centre of the rings, which gives an effect of space and lightness.
