Overview
The rectangular Puffin Table was designed for Audo Copenhagen by Atelier Axo. It balances the solidity of a traditional country kitchen table with the lighter structure of Shaker furniture, and it seats 6 to 8 comfortably.
Construction
The base is solid oak, and the tabletop is either solid oak or oak veneer, made from wood that is carefully dried and processed for a high-quality finish. The solid oak version is made of steel and solid oak.
Specifications
200 x 95 x 74 cm (W x D x H), net weight 65.74 kg. Two tabletop options: solid oak or oak veneer.
Story
Country kitchen solidity, Shaker lightness
The rectangular Puffin Table sits between two references: the solidity of a traditional country kitchen table and the lighter structure of Shaker furniture. The form is grounded yet adaptable in use.
A surface that records daily life
Crafted in solid oak, the tabletop develops character with use, taking on marks of daily life. The proportions are made for shared meals, conversation and gathering, and bring a calm, familiar presence to the room.
