Description

Overview

Privé Armchair is Philippe Starck's 2007 single-seat member of Cassina's Privé group. Versions differ in the form and position of their horizontal support.

Construction

The back and arm structures use steel rod and cold-moulded polyurethane. Variable-density foam supports the seat; the cover is leather with capitonné treatment.

Specifications

  • 241 13, height-variable left support: 135 × 109 × 82 cm

Story

An armchair with an extended support

One side of the chair projects beyond the seat as a horizontal padded plane. The drawing shows fixed and height-variable arrangements, as well as left- and right-hand versions.

Seat and cushion assembly

Cassina divides feather and polyurethane-flake filling between cushion sections, then supports the chair on cast and extruded aluminium feet.
