Story
Marble as the centre of the table
The thin aluminium shelf supports the marble tops, which brings out their thickness and beauty without artifice. The workmanship accentuates the aesthetic characteristics of each marble. The tables look straightforward but show the craftsmanship of Poltrona Frau's master craftsmen in preparing and assembling the materials.
Surface treatments
The brilliant tops get a clear polyester coat for extra surface resistance, so liquids are not absorbed. On the semi-brilliant tops a protective water-repellent solution is applied instead, for a more natural appearance. The Marquinia top has scored lines simulating a pattern of tiles of different widths.
