Description
Overview
The Peter Maly 2 is a bed frame by Peter Maly for Ligne Roset, a new edition of a bed that has been a Ligne Roset best-seller for more than two decades. It is covered in a choice of 44 materials and measures H 810 mm.
Construction
The structure is made of black anodised aluminium profiles. Side panels are 3-layer particleboard clad in 50 kg/m³ (6.3 kPa) polyurethane foam and 100 g/m² polyester quilting, with baguette stitching and covers that are removable and held by gripper strips. The cylindrical feet have a matt black lacquered steel plate. The frame takes all kinds of slatted bases and mattresses, with one steel crosspiece at the head and another at the foot.
The removable pillow-cushions have metallic fixings and can be located at any point around the bed. Their structure is high density Bultex polyurethane foam of 26 kg/m³ (1.4 kPa) with a steel core and integral elastic-webbed suspension; the covers are 300 g/m² polyester quilting with simple stitching, removable and held by zippers.

Story
A bed built around a central platform
The Peter Maly bed is constructed around the idea of a vast central platform that is both soft and supple, made up of slatted base, mattress and bedding. Horizontal planes surround it for a more tautly rigorous geometric effect. This is a new edition of a bed that has been a Ligne Roset best-seller for more than two decades.
Pillow cushions that move around the frame
The pillow and headboard cushions slide freely around the bed frame, allowing a multitude of positions, since there is no fixed way for the bed to be used. The removable pillow-cushions have metallic fixings and may be located at any point around the bed.
