Description

Overview

Pap Bookcase High Extension Multi is a modular bookcase by Tetsu Schokking for Normann Copenhagen, introduced in June 2026. Its panels are made from discarded food cartons, and fragments of the original packaging stay visible.

Construction

The panels are 100 % recycled packaging waste, connected with metal tubes that stabilize the frame. Shelves are adjustable in height, with a maximum capacity of 20 kg per shelf. It is delivered flat-packed.

Specifications

81 x 35 x 162 cm (Pap Bookcase High Extension Multi, 611293).

Story

Material research first

Tetsu Schokking designed Pap Bookcase through extensive material research. The panels come from discarded food cartons that would otherwise be incinerated, and the design is deliberately restrained so that the material, with its subtle variations in color and pattern, speaks for itself.

Made to be combined

Simple side panels and metal tubes give the shelves a quiet, stable structure. High and low versions can be combined and expanded to suit changing needs, and the panels can be granulated and reused.
