Description

Overview

Nemschoff Pamona Flop Sofa, designed by David Allan Pesso, lets visitors stay by a patient's side for an hour, a day or overnight. Without changing its footprint, it converts from a comfortable sofa to a supportive sleeping surface and back again.

Construction

A simple two-step process flops the attached continuous back cushion, which becomes an 80.25 x 30 in antimicrobial, moisture-proof and cleanable surface. There is no mechanism, so no pinch points arise. The sofa stands on powder-coated metal legs with wall-saver edging, and its covers are removable.

Specifications

Size: 80.25 x 36 x 32.75 in (W x D x H).

Story

Making the most of valuable space

Visitors to patient rooms should be comfortable whether they stay for an hour, a day or overnight. Pamona Flop Sofa keeps its footprint when it converts, so guests can stay beside the patient during their visits, however long they last.

Simplicity works

The mechanism-free design lets the sofa become a place to sleep without creating pinch points or needing a tricky conversion. The wall-saver edge and leg design also protect walls from scuffs.
