Story
English offices of the early 1900s
The concept text ties Oxford to the prestigious English office chairs of the early twentieth century, and asks for the classical, traditional lines their users prefer. The sheet presents the range as a series of prestigious armchairs with classic capitonné tufting on the backrest.
Two versions, one base system
The page offers Executive and President versions. The drawings show them as two distinct heights, 98 to 105 cm for the Executive and 116 to 123 cm for the President, each with the same type of five-spoke base and the same choice of castors or glides.
Working the chair
According to the sheet, the backrest movement is released from a seated position by operating a lever beneath the left-hand edge of the seat while leaning back. A knob beneath the middle of the seat sets how firmly the backrest resists.
