Overview
Ortigia Outdoor is the alfresco version of the Ortigia family of seating elements. The armchair was designed by the Flexform Design Center in 2019, and the family pairs classic-traditional charm, reinterpreted, with a contemporary vibe.
Construction
Structure and backrest are solid iroko, available in four finishes. The backrest is covered in hand-woven polypropylene cord. Marine plywood and polyurethane foam form the seat, and a protective laminated fabric that repels water covers it, with removable upholstery.

Story
Solid wood, traditional methods
Flexform builds the Ortigia Outdoor armchair structure entirely from solid wood, crafted by artisans with techniques that recall fine cabinetmaking. Flexform offers the wood in an array of elegant finishes.
A backrest woven by hand
The backrest is covered in refined, entirely hand-woven upholstery offered in an elegant palette of colors. Ortigia Outdoor is the alfresco version of the Ortigia family of seating elements.
