Story
From the Tabarin to the cinema seat
The page says Poltrona Frau R&D drew inspiration from the Tabarin, the iconic armchair, when designing Oliver. The page adds that the welcoming design and the streamlined contours of the backrest and armrests give Oliver an American feel and reflect a passion for the transatlantic atmospheres of the 1930s.
A control pad inside the arm
Oliver is moved electrically: the backrest reclines and the footrest rises from a control pad on the inside of the armrest.
One seat or two
According to the brochure, Oliver comes as a single armchair or as a double Love Seat, which it describes as a practical two-seater with a shared side, in a seat that is welcoming yet compact.
