Description

Overview

The OE1 Sit-to-Stand Table is a height-adjustable table with a residential aesthetic, designed by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin as part of the OE1 Workspace Collection and sized for hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and meeting rooms.

Construction

A single column carries an electric lift mechanism that a foot-controlled pedal in the base operates. One cord plugs into a standard outlet, optional USB-C power sits at the top of the column, and cables route through a tab at the rear of the column. A bag hook is built in. Surfaces are thermally fused laminate or veneer; the base is sand texture paint.

Specifications

Rectangular surfaces measure 32.5 in wide by 26 in deep; the round surface is listed at 32 in. Surface height adjusts from 28.35 to 46.32 in.

Story

Designed for the home or the office

Herman Miller presents the table as smaller than its standard height-adjustable tables, scaled for underused areas such as hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and meeting rooms, with residential warmth and a discreet foot pedal controlling height.

From the OE1 collection

Sam Hecht and Kim Colin designed the OE1 Workspace Collection after travelling to look at the changing nature of work. The brochure quotes Hecht noting that furniture is installed on day one and needs to change on day two, and the sit-to-stand table is one of the collection's pieces.
