Overview
The OE1 Freestanding Curtain forms a soft, permeable boundary with a warm, residential feel. Sam Hecht and Kim Colin designed it, and it is not connected to a wall or ceiling, so it can be moved or combined with others to divide or create team spaces.
Construction
A freestanding steel frame structure with two columns supports the curtain. Stability comes from a steel base, and the included non-friction adhesive pads aid mobility. The curtain is offered in straight and curved options and in different degrees of opacity.
Specifications
Both the straight and the curved curtain are 68 in wide and 75 in high.
Story
A boundary that moves
The curtain divides space in a way that is flowing rather than rigid. Because it is not connected to a wall or ceiling, it keeps the visual comfort of a curtain and the flexibility of being moved. Several can be combined to organically divide or create team spaces, enhance the sense of community, or improve wayfinding.
