Flexible communal format
OE1 Communal Tables create touchdown and gathering surfaces in single- or double-sided layouts. One-piece, two-piece, and three-piece versions extend from compact individual runs to long team tables.
Height and mobility
Herman Miller offers seated, counter, and standing formats. Glides or casters support repositioning, while optional screens can add a boundary to the surface.
Representative model
The recorded double-sided, two-piece version measures 120 in wide, 30 in deep, and 36 in high. Its work surface accepts optional power cutouts, and a leg cable manager can guide cords below.
ストーリー
A system reduced to essentials
Sam Hecht and Kim Colin developed OE1 after reconsidering the conventional office-furniture system. Their response was a set of movable elements intended to change as work patterns and spaces change.
Communal work between fixed settings
This table type addresses informal gathering and temporary work rather than a permanently assigned station. Its variations in length, sidedness, height, mobility, and screening let the same product idea serve different shared arrangements.
