Oasis Outdoor Chair

Overview

Oasis, a dining armchair by Antonio Citterio dated 2024, takes the woven mesh motif of the Oasis seating system and applies it to a small armchair for outdoor spaces.

Construction

An epoxy powder-coated base of tubular stainless steel carries a backrest of entirely hand-woven polypropylene cord. The seat is marine plywood with polyurethane foam padding, covered in a protective water-repellent laminated fabric. The upholstery can be removed, and the feet are adjustable, in thermoplastic material.

Mesh and metal

The chair is original in how it sets an entirely hand-woven cord backrest on a metal base. A delicate woven mesh pattern and a sinuous metal structure give the design its elegance and lightness.
