Description
Noonu sofa system
Antonio Citterio designed Noonu in 2021 as a system of deep upholstered elements with a curved aluminium base profile and movable roller supports.
9N240-D dimensions
The straight 9N240 option D has roller supports at both ends. Its drawing gives 240 cm width, 99.5 cm depth and 66 cm height.
Published choices
The official selector lists three metal finishes, 316 fabric colourways across 51 families, and 72 leather colourways across six families. The technical sheet specifies fabric or leather for the cover and roller webbing.
Story
An archipelago of seating
The name comes from Noonu Atoll in the Maldives. B&B Italia places the system within Citterio's longer exploration of islands and peninsulas in sofa planning, and directly connects it to the earlier B&B Atoll project.
Piano, sail and roller
Alongside square and rectangular formats, piano and sail elements create curved outlines. A roller cushion held by webbing to an aluminium support can move between arm, head and intermediate positions.
