Description
Overview
The Noka Settee is a two-place settee designed by Sebastian Herkner for Ligne Roset. The settee is 2,300 mm wide and 1,000 mm deep, stands 760 mm high and has a seat height of 440 mm.
Construction
The armrest and backrest structures are 3-layer plywood wrapped in high resilience Bultex polyurethane foam, and 110 g/m² polyester quilting clads the whole structure. The seat is made of Bultex foam and a layer of hyper-flexible polyurethane foam, suspended on blocks of pocket springs. A 5 mm bourrelet stitch runs on all the elements. The settee is offered in 37 materials.

Story
Pocket springs and layered foam
The seat of the Noka settee is suspended on blocks of pocket springs. Its foam is high resilience polyurethane Bultex in two densities, 42 kg/m3 and 38 kg/m3, with a layer of hyper-flexible polyurethane foam at 45 kg/m3. The back and armrests use Bultex foam in three densities.
Plywood and quilting
The armrest and backrest structures are identical, made of 3-layer plywood and clad in Bultex foam of 36 kg/m3. Polyester quilting of 110 g/m² then covers all the elements, with a 5 mm bourrelet stitch.
