Overview
Nils is a modular settee composition by Didier Gomez for Ligne Roset. Its pillowy profile combines balanced contours with simple, edge-to-edge and twin-needle stitching. The product page offers 45 covering materials.
Construction and comfort
Three-layer particleboard and multi-ply panels form the frame beneath polyether foam, high-resilience polyurethane Bultex foam and polyester quilting. Biconical steel springs provide seat suspension, while segmented back cushions contain new goose feathers. Fabrics and leathers are available as coverings.
Story
Soft contours and tailored stitching
Nils balances a soft, welcoming appearance with a controlled outline. Simple and edge-to-edge stitching defines the structure, while twin-needle stitching finishes the back cushions.
Layered support
Bonnell spring blocks support integral Bultex seat cushions. Several foam densities reinforce the front and sides of each place, with feather-filled cushions at the back. Seat platforms, backs and armrests separate to facilitate delivery. Upholstery can be removed throughout, apart from leather- or microfibre-covered structures.
