Overview
Nagori is a 2026 bed by Simone Bonanni. Its solid-ash legs and horizontal support give the frame a rigorous outline, while the self-supporting upholstered headboard introduces a curved profile.
Construction
The steel frame carries naturally finished bent-beech slats. A matt-black steel bar supports the rear of the headboard, whose CIRCULARREFOAM polyurethane and PET fibre incorporate recycled content.
Specifications
The external fabric or leather cover is removable. The selected 160 x 200 cm mattress version measures 185 x 225 cm. Its largest vertical drawing value is 98 cm, but the value is not labelled on the drawing.
Story
Solidity and lightness
Zanotta describes Nagori through a balance of solid structure and visual lightness. The wood frame establishes the bed's order, while the headboard support rises in a gentle curve and carries two generous upholstered sections.
Designed for upright support
The horizontal beam and padded headboard are intended to support the user while seated as well as at rest. Bonanni describes the project as a search for balance between Zanotta's rigorous design logic and a personal aesthetic language that could introduce a subtle sense of novelty.
