Description

Overview

The Multy Bed settee is a Claude Brisson design for Ligne Roset that opens from a settee into a bed and also offers an intermediate position between the two: a chaise longue with ample leg support. It is designed for everyday use as a bed and is offered in 32 fabrics.

Construction

The frame is multi-ply with particleboard panels, fitted with a steel mechanism and birch slats 9 mm thick. The seat is either polyether foam (28 kg/m³, 3.0 kPa) or Bultex foam, an 8 cm thick polyurethane of 38 kg/m³ density and high resilience; the back is polyether foam (28 kg/m³, 3.0 kPa). Armrests (polyether foam with polyester quilting) or bedside tables (MDF top, 43 cm diameter, 2 cm thick) pivot so that the bed settee can open.

Specifications

When unfolded, the 155 bed settee is 200 cm deep. Lumbar cushions and arms are optional extras; the covers of lumbar cushions and armrests are removable. A foam sheet is supplied to place between the slats and the seat when folded.

Story

Between settee and bed

Multy is easy to operate, and it offers more than two states, with an intermediate position half-way between settee and bed: a chaise longue with ample leg support. The armrests or bedside tables pivot to let the bed settee open.

Made for everyday sleeping

The bed settee is specially designed for use as a bed on an everyday basis. Two mattress versions are offered, one with a Bultex foam seat and one in polyether foam, each with an ecru-coloured mattress cover that carries an antibacterial, antimicrobial and fungicidal treatment.
